....aaaand here are some more Muybridge studies:
Great update Lauhvadl. Good to see you grinding out the studies. If only I had the drive as well. See you around friend.
Muybridge? I like your thorough approach to your craft
Hey, glad you guys like them...the Muybridge photos are grainy and blurry, so I feel I learn a lot by trying to extrapolate the anatomy and form. These are all done in my A5 moleskin sketchbook...I like having small study projects that I can work on in breaks from work, creativity slumps etc etc.
How long does it take you to get these down? I like how simple you make it look while still getting the pertinent information down on paper.
You shouldn't thank someone for molesting you like an Irish priest....too soon?
Great pencil sketches! Not only the Muybridge Sketches. Did you add the missing information (to the poor quality of the Muybridge Photos) only with your imagination and knowledge of the muscle groups or do you have to use additional help like another anatomy book?
soros - Thank you I don't use any extra anatomy reference when I do those...I try to extrapolate the missing information based on what I think I know. So it's a combination of memory, intuition and wild guessing. It's not really all that difficult to make it look sort of right...there's more than enough information there to make an educated guess about the minor missing parts. Actually, I find that the most difficult part is getting the basic gesture down.
dessinateurimpulsif - Thank you very much
Tex - ...hm. You mean, use multiple colors...in the same image? Heresy!
Here's a CHOW entry...process included.
