Asoir, DanielC , Zynic, Bendragon , Slayer and Razorb, thanks guys!
hm, I dont know how to explain.. but I wanted to give it a finished look..
and i read somewhere that you should try to concentrate on concentrateing on nothing, I did, o i attempted to do it..
and heres the result (i suck att black and white.. shitty ) wip still, but damn
nice nice, you very good work are produce, lol
Nice stuff here. Keep it up.
gött å se att du hela tiden gör framsteg...
keep it up!!
H2rra; Miguelslo ; Daraf ; Heda and TheGnoll: thanks!
PS, Heda ; change your losatar to something nice instead
I did a few thumbs, worked it out in painter first, and now working on details in Photoshop.
Edit* I will draw more by pencils from now and on, but I couldnt resist Adobes only successful version of Photoshop , CS3 , sorry
hey dennis, big ol improvement on the digital!!
On the b+w creature, for the most part the lighting and form is spot on, except make the belly have more reflected light from the ground, and use bigger brushstrokes...aaand, possible a cast shadow from the head
last one is good, strong design and a good silouette, however it seems a bit careless in places( with the rendering). Id suggest just taking your time to airbrush the whole thing, then add the textures, just for form and lighting sake.
Looking real good
Mmm spaceships... The black and white monster is great dude. Keep it up, put that type of rendering into your people
J A K E : Thanks
DanielC: yeah, well, now im "better" but i still suck thank you!
OldNoobie: Thanks, I WONT add a background though, I mainly did it because
I got this nice little thumb down in my sb Just had to paint it
Thanks for the feedback!
Uhm.. just a tiny update again.. spend 100 minutes on it
and things that I will fix tomorrow.. before I move onto colours.
Heres the crits I gave you earlier. Keep up the hard work dude, very good to see you striving and striving. Sickening improvement lol.
Hey man, its pretty good!
I think if you measure it you will know where you are going wrong, so just note down what you aren't doing right and get onto it.
You need to do some work from some leg and arm armour ref I think, to improve the design, but I think it looks really successful.
-Check the torso regularly. Just quickly do it in your head, visualise where things shoudl be a check them, or make markers.
-I think you need to make legs a bit thinner though ok? They are good length (in proportion to each other - upper and lower), just too chunky to look strong and powerful.
-If you would have made his hand bend more down though, so that the sword is at an angle, like diagonal, it would appear like he would be swinging it more.
At the moment it looks like he is charging towards someone, holding his sword ready to hit, which is a good effect anyway =]
hey awesome work dude.....poses kinda stiff.....but really cool stuff
Nice stuff Dtemp, your pencils are really awesome. I'd suggest using bigger brush strokes when digi painting, but that's something you'll have to try for yourself. soft brushs for shadows and hard brushs for light.
that ship design is pretty sweet, but the first one looks better without the light shining on it IMO.
Hey, man. Your work is looking good, but a few things - On your pencil work, try building up more contrast, a lot of them look kind of flat. On your last digi, the knight type guy, i think someone already mentioned it but his thighs are gigantic, and on the last vehicle some general sharpening up would help out. Keep it up!.
Wow Dile, amazing progression, those black and white studies are great, I can tell your learning a ton. Pencils are definitely looking good. Your anatomy on your characters are getting better and better, keep up the studies also. Love this post and how you refined it. You added a bit more saturation to make the concept stronger.
About the workshop, It was the best art related event I have ever experienced. I finally got to meet a lot of the people here on CA. It was great, the music demo's. I hung out with Wes Burt, Andrew, Jason Chan, and lots of other amazing artist. It was a weekend with no sleep starting Friday night and ending Sunday evening. I will definetly be attending future workshops. The Inspiration was amazing. I'll have to tell you more about it over IM, my hotmail name isn't working right for some reason, thats why you can't see me on. Long onto your aim and I'll tell you more about it.
Keep working hard Dile.

my hardest to draw all the time right now... My scanner doesnt worked this morning, gotta fix it ( therefore no real update now sorry )
ohwell.. here it is.. dont laugh
Edit*2.. haha my spelling sucks
Btw : When i saved it as JPG today.. I noticed that what i've painted
very dark on this sketch looked slightly more light ? what is this ? any
settings in Painter / Photoshop .. ( I started and saved it in painter as a PSD file ?!?) and then i did the touch up at it in PS... hm.. doesnt bothering me much, but would be better if it was as accurate as possible I guess..
I attached what I belive is the difference with the dark- thingy that changes.
something like this at least.. not uber-accurate, but still you get a clue of what i mean!
