Wow!I loved all those watercolors + gouache, especially the three with the amazing lightning.
massive update, up top!
I'm hoping to refine and paint these guys in the future, using PS and Sketchbook pro.
i'll have to try a watercolor wolverine one of these days!
dude, reaally sweet watercolors u got there, that monster Vs girl is pretty cool too.
This is probably way too much stuff, but I haven't posted here in a long time.
Updates: I got a job with Rockstar New England as a concept artist. It's my first job as a professional concept artist and I'm loving it and learning a lot!
All of these sketches are done for fun as studies. I have some GI Joe art in there from a freelance job I had while I was looking for work as a concept artist.
I'll try to update more regularly! Most of these are gouache. The moleskine sketches are done with Tombo markers. And the last guy was done with PS and Alias Sketchbook Pro.

It's nice to see all that experimentation pay off a bit. This is a pencil drawing, with ink wash, and gouache. Plus, I cheated a bit in Photoshop with some levels adjustments and some really loose dodging and burning.
Done at starbucks and while eating dinner at home... do I have a life? Not so much right now.
More random sketches!
Any crits would be greatly appreciated guys! I guess I better spread the love around
I keep posting things and then touching them up when I learn more. I'm not sure whether it's a good thing or not, but at least for my digital work I find it to be fun to see the progress of an image, even if it's a year later.
I know I'm not super connected to anyone at CA, but I keep on tryin'. I've spent a lot more of my time over the years posting at deviantart, primarily because it was easier to organize and look at work, but also because it's where I started out.
Here, it's a bit too tough to figure out where all the great art is. Maybe I just need to commit a little bit more time to navigating it.
Also, another thing that I'm ashamed to admit, I've always been a little intimidated by the type of work here. Being a comic book guy, I was always drawing but not doing a lot of painting. Color was something I had a really hard time jumping into, but I'm so glad I did. And I'm a lot less intimidated now. I feel like now, I can look at the work here and figure out how it was made and take a lot from it. And now that I've matured a bit as an artist, person, and professional I can see that a lot of people here share the same kind of passion about art that I do. And that's awesome to discover.
It's a big, big dump. It's interesting to see the progress, I feel like concept art, to me, covers sooo much information that it feels like this big machine and you have to keep tightening up bolts and things here and there (painting and drawing landscapes, figures, designing, engineering, storytelling, composition, etc..) to get it running properly. The whole time the engine just keeps going, eventually I guess you get get things working properly and maybe you get turbo and nitros oxide and jet engines?
I saw your thread in the ff section and decided this would probably be worth looking at, and it was! i like the mountains with the pig the most cause its all blue and breathy. but yeah wide range of styles too which seems to be something in high demand, you look like you're really working on yourself! im gonna go back to work on me too .
Thanks for the encouragement, Hai! I'll be sure to give this sketchbook some more attention.
A recent life drawing session.
ya man ....it's ....cool ....great work man ....keep up...! come n comment on me...pls...!
Just continuing to refine the design. It's looking pretty stereotypical now, but oh well, this is just an exercise for now.
Thanks! Yeah, I do need to post more. I have so much to post since last time. I forget how nice the community is here, so much talent and encouragement.
Thanks for the reminder, though, I see I'm a bit late to respond!
I have a ton of stuff from this past year.
Work has been keeping me busy, but still learning a lot.
