I've been trained as an illustrator and worked as a character artist on one published game so far. Unfortunately, I've had a love-hate relationship with art ever since high school, where it became clear that I needed to draw everyday if I was to be any good.
At the moment I'm working part-time as a programmer building applications for the games industry, but I'm really itching to draw again. As such, my initial post is a purging of work from 2-3 years ago that has been my shitty portfolio for too long. The work isn't bad, I've just been retarding my own progression by thinking I can't get any better than those halcyon days (and they really weren't that great).
My portfolio has a distinct lack of well, everything, but especially environments. I have an irrational fear of drawing environments, a phobia that has plagued me since my first day at university. Don't ask me how I managed to pass illustration without doing any landscapes or environments, but I did.
Anyhow, wish me luck on my journey. It will be eye-opening, no doubt.
