Carl knows what's up, he knows the goverment has been using mind controling substances in the population's boxershorts since the late seventies. He knows the only way to be truly safe is to wear his breifs on the outside. Carl's hat is lined with tin foil to lock in freshness and keep hollywood out of his imagination. Don't you with he was your best friend?

I think I found this thread a little too late.....
would it be possible to extend the deadline to... say, monday?
...or is that asking too much for not replying to this thread sooner...
umm, yeah, no.... i don't think there will be any extensions for this one, but the idea for these teen challenges is that it will continue every month or so.... so phasma and DanDanTheMexican you're more than welcome to join next time.....
on the subject of judging, i PM'd MIKECORRIERO about two weeks ago and no reply even now!?! so unless anyone has any suggestions on who or how we judge this thing, that would be great..... cos i have no idea what to do.....at all..... HELP!
damn the 16th is tomorrow huh?
I guess I'll have to start then.. lol
Have been so busy with school.. But I will post something! Even though it isn't any good
Next time sounds good....hopefully ill check this out regularlly....hope too see others post for this challenge and check out the compotition.
and yeah, post all your entries here and i'll try figure out what midnight is in america (just cos' thats probably the time zone most people are in) and post a poll thread, with everyones entries then....
i wish i could have gotten someone to judge it, sorry everyone....

Ha, great expression on that guy, Kronos. It's too bad we couldn't get a judge, but a poll should work well enough. You might want to double check this, but I think the deadline here would be about 8-9 PM your time on the 17th.
Anyways, here's my entry:
Yum, squirrel. I went with the more traditional, Great Depression era-type hobo. This piece is partly a tribute to John Hodgman for his extensive research on hobo matters in his recent book, The Areas of My Expertise.

Cordy - it looks like you could crop it a bit at the top and the left side. You could also try adjusting the saturation to zero - since it's black & white, that should decrease the file size without noticeably affecting the picture itself. If the file size is still too big for photobucket, resizing it a little is probably the only other option.
Nice attention to detail, by the way. It's too bad you didn't have time to color it, but it's still pretty strong as a line drawing.
PLATE- thanks, I'll try to fool around with it before the deadline. it seems like if the picture is only 300k that it shouldn't be resizing in photobucket, though. hmmm..
I added some color in photoshop.. is their a grayscale option?

From the top menu: Image -> Mode -> Grayscale.Originally Posted by Cordy
As for the file size - photobucket says that it'll accept images up to 512K without resizing them, but in my experience the limit is more like 250K.
