Your combination of playful eroticism and beautiful brushwork is really coming out in full effect now! (More panty pulling beauties!)
You're killing it/me
Dave, thanks for the good wishes for my head! I get migraines, & the only "trigger" for them I've been able to identify is heat - and yesterday it was 88F outside & at least that inside! I actually did combine my head & ice - only the ice was in a plastic bag placed on my forehead & eyes as I lay down. Drugs too helped.
I agree with a couple of the posters above - the new model has nice butt curves. But then I think all your models are definitely female & not sticks.
Yeah, a multi-figure study of your models would be great to see!
So, a model painting a day keeps the boofies away - good!
And nice art too in your blog!
Dave, I am enjoying watching your progression unfold through this project. It seems you are dove tailing your painting methods into a quickly recognizable style. Thank you for sharing your work.
Jesus Food - thanks!
Gilead - ha, thanks man! I try my best
Giorge - thanks, I agree on the undressing. It's fun to do different stages, but I think my favorites all still contain some article of clothing, however slight
Teundeboer - thanks! Not sure if I'm doing more detail so much as just getting more comfortable. I've been using flats alot the past couple weeks too, which adds something in the brush strokes in my opinion
Extollere - ha, thanks!
cesmls - oof, sounds awful! Keep that head cool!
Edward Cherniga - thanks!
Ghostbrush - thanks! I say more sexy sketch books, more!
Konstruktion - thanks!
New postcard, weee!
Hey Dave, I'm loving the updates. Do you think some work-in-progress shots would be out of the question? Right now my traditional work is all out of sync but it seems like you have it down to a tee (having ninja painting skillz and all). I can't figure out if you simply layer the colours down in neat succession or "organically" pop it out in no particular order. However you do it though, the results are brilliant
..... and another beautiful painting!
phix - thanks! I took progress shots on one awhile back but the painting was kinda meh so I never posted them. I'll plan for one sometime in the near future and hopefully it'll turn out better
cesmls - thanks!
merl1n - thanks!
new postcard here:
Woooo more updates, love her attitude and of course THE CURVES.
Eugie - thanks!
ok, so... Big announcement time!
So, I'm really REALLY pleased to announce that in the very near future I'll be releasing a volume of selected images from my postcard series (year one) as well as related work. The book will be a square format 8"x8", 60 pages, and limited to 150 s/n copies. The books are going to be available late July (I'll have them for San Diego Comic Con) but I'm now taking pre-orders. Pre-order copies are priced at $20 each (plus shipping). Why pre-order you ask? Well...
*The first 50 orders will also receive an original sketch (similar to the ones below) tucked inside*
Honestly, I'm just really excited about this. I've been having so much fun doing these paintings and it makes me so happy to see them compiled into this book. They'll be back from the printers in mid-July, orders will ship asap.

new postcard, been up here in Amherst hanging out with the Illustration Master Class the past couple days, but still finding some time for my ladies:
He has live models come into his studio, he takes photos of them, & then he paints them.
I believe that they're from his girlfriend's burlesque troup.
Nice painting of Angela's rear view! You're back to my fave - the cool background against the pinkish/terracottaish skin tones.
Yeah, I was in there like a ninja! How could I pass up the chance? It was a no brainer.
Preordered the book! I left a special note with the order, regarding my address.
AphexTweak - thanks, what Cesmls said I try to prepare a series of sketches based around different costuming to use as a jumping off point, then go from there with the model
cesmls - thanks, they feel like the most natural lately
rupeshtalaskar - thanks!
Slash - thanks, very much appreciated
petitemistress - haha, thanks!
New postcard again. I'm hoping my colors are reasonably correct, I'm not used to posting from my laptop:
OOh, my favourite model!
The colours do look a little more subdued than usual, not quite as brilliant. Kind of like looking at her through a glazed window.
DAve - all so good! I put my $$ down! cheers - kevin
the blog will not leave me be: http://www.kevinwuesteart.blogspot.com
wow amazing i love the postcards. especially the newest one keep posting more
Ha! You spare no expense on drawing paper. That's pretty cool.
That last one looks acrylic, I'm not sure why. Hard edges maybe.

How did the burlesque troup Father's Day show go Dave?
