First of all, Hello everyone !
I finally managed to register, after a week or so of trying to.
Not that I am lazy, but there seems to be a problem with the Registration email
you receive after you register at CA.
I finally managed to fix it by messing with the Activation URL.
I'm posting this cause I'm sure other people trying to register are having the same problem,
and hopefully CA will fix it.
Here is the "Bug" in the Registration Activation email:
In the email you receive after you register you find 3 URL's.
One is to activate your membership by simply clicking on it.
The second is for America online users to activate.
And the 3rd is if you have problems using the first activation URL.
Only problem is, none of these URL's work.
When you click on them you are brought to a CA page mentioning something
about maintanance and some links.
So the first thing I thought was "hmm, maintanance. They must be having problems with the site, I'll just try later".
After a few days I turned really really eager to join CA and started getting upset (as I do, when things don't work).
I started desperately copying and pasting the Activation URL's and editing them,
Thinking there could be a typo in them.
And there was, a big one.
Here is what the original Activation URL looks like when you receive it in your email:
'http://220.127.116.11/forums/register.php?a=a.....and some stuff here"
This is what it should look like in order to work:
"http://www.conceptart.org/forums/register.php?a=a....and some stuff here"
Simple, but it worked for me.
Mayby CA could fix this by changing the URL in the Activation email.
