Cool stuff man, the Bridgman marker sketches, especially the standing figure.
Keep 'em coming...
good updates here man! Glad to see you have done some life too! This one of one of your friends is really really good! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...6shawshank.jpg . The clothes on it look excellent and shading looks good too. Good blind sps as well. Can i just ask, what is the "meiosis project"?
Keep it up!
Zordzauce~ heck ya! those studies are way fun. and i blocked you one two hit combo with my amazing ninja slice-n-dice skillz.
Fatty!~ hey glad you're back bro. can't wait to see more from yo~u
Arco~ hey thanks heaps for always stopping by.
Qxzi~ heh thanks for reminding me i gotta finish that meiosis thing. it's a poster my teacher wants that combines pictures and stuff already out there but they don't have everything he wants on them and this confuses students. things like having all 46 cromosomes and showing crossing over and suff so. big stuff.
so i'm at a friends house for a couple weeks house sitting and i don't have a scanner, but he's letting me use his laptop so here's my studies for today.
oh yeah, here's a link, Khangle.net

"holy frejoles!!!! you made a ton of improvement! congratz!
i love what you said to asoir, man you're so smart!
also do you have any advice about getting proportions and stuff down.
i'm finally taking your advice about drawing more hands that you gave me way back"
Try pulling out a pic of a hot chick or a muscular guy... make the head a block... no nose, no chin no forehead... just a box... Then the neck... keep drawing circles as if it were a wire frame. Pretty much you have to drill into your head things like "7.5 to 8 heads tall." Most of Marko and Wes's figures work on the heroic form of 8 heads tall, as opposed to 7.5 which is normal sized. Keep your pencil very loose, but stay in one line... do NOT backtrack your lines, but don't be afraid to zoom acrooss places like your elbow... Look at alot of me and Greensocks' gestures... see what you can pick up. start with the head and keep movin down the body... Mentler gave me advice. After you study anantomy good, muscles and bones and the whole shebang... Tell yourself what you are drawing. "THE BICEP GOES HERE" "THEN THE ELBOW BUMP" " THEN DOWN HERE... THE WRIST BONE (Radius?)"
There is always a good thickness to characters, from and view, in any style, even skinny characters... always shoot for this "thickness". Experiment with lines. Make the side of the body thicker than you think it should be... We have a good amount of muscle and fat on us.
For hands, use rectangles and group 2 fingers together if you can, it helps.
Thanks for the compliment in my sb, I apprecaite it.
In a nutshell, draw yourself with your shirt off, or draw full body poses of other people, keep in mind the head rule... You should be set with enough practice... Get some Wicked Weasel or Victorias secret pics and draw them, women are fun to draw, their curves are almost always very rythmic, but especially in models.
Good luck to ya!
EDIT: I'm not as smart as you think, I just spew my opinions and thoughts I get from other people. most of my "knowledge", including this post, is just rambling off the top of my noggin.
zord! thanks, hey you better update before montreal so we can have a bit stuff for comparison.
thanks a lot pixeldragon. i guess i just need to get some references and force my self to do a couple.
anyway some hands and doodles
photobucket is soo annoying. they say images larger than 1 meg are resized this one's 300k grr.
