I just picked up this twisted gem of a book by Edward Gorey. Every artist worth his/her sick little minds should have a dose of Gorey in their lives. In this 1963 book he goes through child names alphabetically and illustrates their demise, such as , "K is for Kate who was struck with an axe." And their is a drawing of Kate with an axe in her abdomen. Not for everyone obviously, but it had me laughing. His ink drawings are great, because they are either right before the act or right after and are filled with dread. Great stuff.
