Hey, I'm a going into my senior year this fall, so I'm looking at colleges with majors like illustration, graphic and industrial design, stuff like that. I'm located in upstate NY, so I'm getting lots of results with Pratt, Rhode Island school of design, and a whackload of Art Institutes. Plus I went up to the Cleveland Institute of Art over vacation, and that didnt seem awful. But what do I know. Then I got info from RIT and stuff, other schools around here. I wouldnt mind doing that, like, if I figure I'm better at something other than art, I can do something other than art. Can't do that with an art school.
So If i were to go to a state school and major in art plus take a couple of not-art classes, would I end up with the same results as with an art school? ( with a more diverse resume under my belt) Or would it be better to go to ant art school? (and then, which school is good around here? Art Center's a loong way to walk.) I'm not sure what to do. Of course, I guess nobody else really does either, but any help would be good. Not only for me, but for any other college-bound kid who feels mildly retarded in regards to the whole decision thing.
