This project had a lot leading up to it, i had to create a skin for a tool (scissor) out of strathmore paper, using only paper with no adhesive or binding ajent of any kind.
the pattern drawing... The idea was that the scissor was alive, had a consciousness and a world secret from its "Giant" or owner, where he would dance during the vernal equinox.
the actual scissor... which i am not too proud of, but was painstaking to assemble.
The next assignment was to create an abstract sculpture from the pieces we used in our pattern. We could use any number of them, but the same construction rules applied.
In this sculpture i tried to capture the dance of the scissor...
Finally these are the section drawings of the sculpture itself, showing the movement and elevation of the "jump" or dance.
i'd appreciate any and all C&C...
