Hey! Thanks for the in depth crit in my sketchbook! I really appreciate it! Now let's see if I can return the favour... hehe..
Don't think I've seen your pencils before, and the seem to be a lot more stiff than your digis... Might be that you are more apprehensive when you holding a pencil as opposed to your wacom?
Like the dude with the cassette sticking out of his head.. the area around his nose/eye area is so filled with bold lines that I'm not entirely sure where to look.. also the shading seems rushed... Like if you're going to put shading on there, spend another five minutes on it... Either that or just stick with lines.. make the choice.. Are you impatient when you do pencilsketches? Just wondering... I have tendeny to be a bit impatient, and I'm trying to adjust the way my mind works when I'm doing my stuff.. I've written "process, not product" on a board I have standing by my computer, to remind me that the process is as enjoyable as the result (and I find more and more that it is..
I'm not trying to be harsh or nothing.. like I said... I'm just trying to repay the favour..hehe.. I'm always intimidated by crit'n artist that are head and shoulders above me..hehe..
