...but before I do, more of the same theme
Cool tiger creature thing.
lol @ Killeroo. Could you be anymore Australian?
I think what you've got there on the latest enviro looks good, but the background needs some definition, because it sort of just 'ends' after the fore and midground.
Great stuff. : ) Love your birds, and killeroo.
Semester is over for the year. Buh sleepytimes.
Here's some tattoo stuff I did for a paper promo booklet assignment (you know those themed ones paper companies send out with different paper types and playing with embellishments etc). Had to make a physical mockup first so I drew straight on to my paper samples, tried to add fake embellishments like thermography, metallic inks, varnishes etc. Scanned a couple from the initial mockup which then went on to be traced and set up for the actual final booklet.
vector versions up next
Vector traceses of the initial drawings. Ended up adding the stripes after printing the tiger page to cut corners with timeframe...
When I get my assignment back I'll take some pictures of the finished product, was kind of fun if intensive to do. Sketchbook stuff coming later when I can be arsed to scan it all
Digging the tiger! Cool as.
Want to see the finished stuff.
Nice sketchbook. I've been looking through the older pages.
Lots of anatomy stuff. Do you do any lifedrawing?
You seem to have a thing for wolves ;p hehe, it's all good, you draw them pretty well. I'll check out the other pages sometime, see if you have any more landscape drawings, I dig those.
HunterKiller: so do i heh. I has plans
wilkerson: I had been doing a bit of lifedrawing but the class was odd...it was like the less it looked like the model, the more the instructor would like it. Buh. Will try to get more variety going here.
Chance: yeah I really do want to use those as a base for a bigger, more finished series of character illustrations. Hopefully I will get into gear soon
Some sketchbook pages from the last month or so, more to come as I can scan them...getting back to anatomy again, so rusty! Oldest first...
CW: Just black ink pens, varying thickness heh. I should play with actual ink shouldn't I...
Okay oldish sketchdump so that I can scan all the more recent stuff for tomorrow...lotta pages to do:
lots more to come, and some illustrations that are being worked on now
Ponies be hard.
Love the last wolfman pic!
Your horse with burning mane is cool, but if all four hooves are off the ground then the legs should actually be together:

Platonist: yeah I know, the person who wanted the horse pic wanted a fiery horse sort of flying through the air like that though so that's why it looks like that, more leaping than actually galloping...meh
not going to post my girls vs boys tdome here, too abysmal. go look for it in the challenge forums.
pretty darn old stuff first, newer at end
so sick of having nothing to show for myself and yet here I am still
I don't think I am improving much any more.
Once again, the Anti-Phoenix is badass.
This 'unicorn lion' is intriguing. Wonder where it will go.
The face is great. I find lion faces quite tricky.
Love it! the idea and the way you painted it are both sweet!
Oh right, I have a sketchbook thread
Been doing an insane amount of work for my Honours year at uni, doing it in Natural History Illustration instead of Visual Communication Design (yay!), not much time to work on other things. But for now here is a zombie moose (another "gimme an idea" topic someone gave me).
