Short-hand 13 lines technique
Hey I was wondering. I'm constantly finding ways to improve my life-drawing skills to the next level. I want to practice the shorthand technique for a while just to gain a better sense of what lines I am laying down are necessary or not. Mainly, this is to help myself improve in gesture drawing 15 seconds to 1 minute.
I would like to ask you knowledgeable people out there for some tips. For this technique. What areas of the body are the best to outline/imply the form of the pose? I know it really depends on the specific pose the model is performing, but in general, is it best to make a mark for shadowed areas? Body parts where the most tension is being held (such as cabs?).
I am sorry if I was not clear enough in explaining what I am looking for, but hopefully someone got the point.
Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.
