Hi, I am brand spankin new here and am looking to improve (duh)
I am so new in fact I have no idea how this website operates but I've seen a lot of the stuff that gets put out here and would love some good crits on my work. I'm only going to update some of my more recent stuff so I don't feel like I'm spamming or anything.
I am currently working mostly in some simpler traditional mediums and photoshop but I'm going to try and learn Corel about mid way through February since I am currently working on getting a portfolio together for college.
The piece I am currently working on is a series of drawings of cutting up an onion(s)(they keep drying out on me). I would very much appreciate some tips on how to render these better aswell.
The first one is a complete onion, I felt this came out well but still could use more detail and I don't really know how to get much more detailed (I don't really know how to properly use non-standard brushes
The second here is the onion heads, this was very difficult and I felt very out of my depth doing it, the left one in particular was a bit rotten in the core and had shriveled up a bit, it looked interesting after I had cut it but drawing it was very difficult, there was weird light patterns bleeding through and the small size of what I was drawing really didn't help. I had to stop after about 2 hours due to had starting to cramp and it really starting to stink :/
