And an update on the canyon piece I have been working on....still only about 50% done i think .
For your latest piece maybe try and sharpen your focal points up a bit
Also can maybe try adding up some different hue and saturation shifts in your sky

hmm...i should put the ship in there to emphasize the real focal point hehe...sorry about that will put it up now (the non-edited ship version). Anyways ty for the crits I will attempt to do them more justice. And no one is bad at critting...even people who don't do artwork can do it. Because sometimes we as artists don't see the obvious flaws that people can see Hence why we get crits.
Haven't gotten a chance to get back to my previous image as I have been doing 9000 things at once here but I promise you (jamie and whoever else) I will. But in other news I did my first 3d wolf today in sculptris hooray! The painting program in sculptris is challenging to say the least as there arent many options with the standard brush. Going to have to find some other brushes to better suit my needs.
Another concept quickie....not going back into this one...I see so many flaws its not even funny. But learned a shitload

I don't work for a company This is all independent stuff with a bunch of peeps from around the world getting together for a common purpose to create a game. My day job takes up most of my time...but when I get a chance my brain is always thinking art stuffs
Meh self portrait done in about 3 and a half hours...IMO waaaay too long. Should have been like an hour-ish. Obsessing over stupid details gets me lost in the wrong directions sometimes.
Did a paintover/photomanip of my current avatar. Came out decent I think. Still some odd things here and there with it.
Did some quick color/compositional studies from some random "artsy" photographs. Now to mine the internetz for moar masters reference so i can study those instead.
Seriously cool updates in here. Your gestures are getting very strong. I really like those last bits of compositional studies. I really need to do some of those. Keep working hard at it, I know you'll get it down!

Bah! Need to update this place more often with things that I am working on. Still a bit dry in that department because of scanner not hooked up...will get that up and running soon enough. But here is a quickie I did the other day in hopes to film my painting process...which failed miserably because the software I was using to screen cap didn't like my system - which I found out AFTER the painting was done :|
Where to begin at how crazy things have been in the past 6 months. But most importantly...have been engrossed in Noah Bradley's Art Camp for the past couple of months. Fell behind on the weeks due to insanity in life but have bounced back to bring out some of my guns blazing...hopefully So here is a bunch of work that we have been doing so far...as well as some other stuff thrown in for good measure.
