THE OTHER BROTHERS
I see good improvement from your earlier work, I think you could benefit from working on your symetry try laying out the position of the features before rendering them, I see way too many eyes that are higher than the other.
keep up the good work and post some more
Damn, lots of replies
Tiger: thanks man
Mindflaw: yeah I will be checking his construction head thingie out. Thanks and I see ya there.
Sara: will keep in mind thanks
Hurri: hah I will try
Rod: thanks, and I gotta draw more but eh
Charcoal: thanks and yeah I gotta spend more time on construction.
So life is weird as in Im not feeling to good right now, and that makes me loose the spirit for drawing, I still enjoy it but I lots of other things on my mind. So here is one doodle, profile view because I know them OK I guess so I feel secure doing them, and when Im not feeling good It feels good for me to do them at least.
The self potrait were like 2-3 mins ballpoint pen right before pen, you will probaly see more of those shit potraits if things will keep like this. but Im still doing one per day now matter how bad them are.
I can´t belive I post this:
Hmm... I think the nose on the first one is a bit large and pointy compared to the other features... for the rest... looking good!
Hang in there buddy, life will get better. Somebody once told me "If you are going through hell you better keep going" and it made sense. moving forward is the only way to leave the bad behind.
I admire your will to draw even when you don't feel like it.
Thanks all for the comments and yeah Charcoal it is true.
My life is good now, just had some... issues needed to be sorted out.
Felt like drawing again today, might scan them later, but here is some drawings when I started drawing in September 2004:
Spider man´s enemy... VENOM!
Im angry as shit cause I scanned bad and missed like 1/4 of the pages. And I´m to lazy to rescan them.
But anyway these aren´t great they are more like to get back into the groove of drawing.
In a car on the way to the classtrip:
just doodles, the best ones did I miss to scan
just bridgman studies, and I missed to scan the side again
and again, but there is nothing really to see, just a fast sp to get back into the grooveh
Since you posted doodles, it's a bit hard for me to comment because I don't know how seriously you would take my comments on them. I'll stay say what I can though.
First of all, I see a tremendous amount of improvement from your drawings in September, and those you make now. A great amount of improvement in fact, most notably in the doodles themselves (the ones in september show no knowledge of form, the ones you make now show a lot of that, and promise) I think you've become more patient - you've refined your shading much more with I think patience.
The self-portrait is a good start. I'd say take a self-portrait further sometime, no doubt you will learn a lot.
In some of the profile doodles, your noses tend to be a bit on the long side, portruding a bit too much from the face. You did fix this in your self-portraits though.
One thing I do notice a bit (though this could be the car) is that sometimes your line quality varies a bit - I don't know whether this is because you're doing short poses and other things like that, but sometimes it *seems* a bit unconfident, while at others it's a fluid stroke, and confident.
Like I said, I find it hard to pinpoint stuff in your doodles. But it's very cool to see the amount of progress you have made over a year's time. Excellent work in that.
(If you think my comments are bull, give me a good hard kick. I swear I'll stop.)
You have improved alot since you started, no doubt. Only complaint on the SP is that it looks like you drew the features and then encircled it with the border of the face. This is a common mistake by new artists so don't feel bad about it. The reason it's bad is because it's going from specific to general, i.e. going from small details to large masses. Blah I'm rambling, Good luck and good work
Either create a new photobucket or use imageshack.us, but please stop using that account, I can't see a thing.
Yeah, I can't see it anymore. Bandwidth exceeded.
Big post, dude! I like your anatomystudies, you're steadily progressing!
I can see you're implementing the stuff Leo talked about, concerning the big masses in the torso. Looks like it's helping a lot!
Good lookin' out!
IMO: you need to work at a more gestural level to obtain proportions and motion. right now you're trying to do detail work before you've worked out the general form.
take it for what it's worth

Yea, I agree, you seem to get too eager with finishing it.
I also suggust trying to fix problems and don't just scribble them out if they're not looking up to par. Pen, I can understand scribbling, because.. well... hardly erasable. But when you're working with pencil, fix it. it's a good exercise
thanks for the comments, I took them in too lazy for individual now
didn´t feel the urge to draw, and besides I got a fucking neck pain that won´t go away, sucks when you are trying to draw.
some fast studies, most of the ones I just layed down some fast pencil lines then pen over:
trying for motion:
some comments... the heads where you use construction is better than those without... IMHO always use construction even in your scribbles... cause then you grind in the construction and proportions in your mind, but until then always draw the construction in your figures and heads to aid you. Anyway I see you working with the construction and other useful stuff
get well and get back to

Ps:Hope you understand my English.
Remember my advices taste best with a grain of salt.
It's nice to see that you are drawing alot, but I'd really recommend that you draw from life more, there's a big difference from copying and analysing, besides, drawing from life will improve your observation skills big time if you put in enough effort, it doesn't really matter that much what you draw, don't have a model? Draw some objects lying around or your hand or your pets (if you have any). Good work!
Been alot these last few days. Partying, SCHOOOOOOL`S OUT FOR SUMMER! Was the host with my friend at the graduation etc
and guess what! even more shit
from life, scanned is crooked. likes drawing THIS way from life, will do one every day I think. It helps you to think in planes and get your lines better (I on every drawing except the house I did the lines in one stroke, then I went make and made some thicker etc)
will do many more of these, acrylic as base and color pencils as shadow and highlight, wanna get some gaouche so I can paint highlights, kinda hard now with pencils:
edit: yes, I know they are like totally of in the last drawings, but I just made them fast for coloring.
1) Draw Everyday
2) DRAW EVERY DAMN DAY
3) DRAW EVERY F--KING DAY and a lot of NIGHTS DAMMIT
That is about as much as I know about the learning process
Hey, man doing just fine !
Nice colours, little change in the sketches, very cool. I liked the blue girls pelvis area alot.
Keep drawing from life, it helps a shit load.
