Hey everyone! Starting another character design commission and of course I would love yall feed back along the way. The here's the abridged bio the client gave me.
"Ramana as a whole is vastly unexplored, with the largest density of people conglomerated in the capital – Feyor City. The city is a tightly packed metropolis that 4 million Romani citizens call their home. In the center of which, slightly elevated from an otherwise flat city, lies a grand palace and adjacent stately buildings along with a special monetary which served as a library and a school for young nobles. Only the highest nobility actually live in the palace however, the majority of the space is used for meeting of various governing bodies.
Romani legend tells of the nobles being direct ancestors of a god who could control lighting. More than just books support this, the Romani high nobles possess a power in which they harness energy within their body and manifest it as an electrical type energy which those that have mastered the ability can use in any number of ways. Nobility use this power to infuse gems that are used throughout Romana as a powers source, engineers create marvelously unique machines which harness this power"
"When luscious was 9 he was to choose the path his life would follow, as is the custom for high nobles born with ‘the gift’. They may choose either a life in governance, taking on an apprenticeship with a current government official and be groomed for a similar position - or alternatively a life at the monastery, to learn the techniques to harness the power he was born with. There is a strict division of between nobles who have learned to wield ‘the power’ and those who make top decisions including top military ones. This division of power is meant to stop one person from becoming too powerful within the court, and to get away from political power struggles that were once settled by duels between nobles.
"Lucius didn’t care much for either of his two choices. In the end he shied away from the life of governing despite the lucrative lifestyle that somewhat appealed to him, deciding; “Those political games bore me”. Everything was a game to luscious. As he grew older luscious kept his childish domineer, most evident with the boomerang he brought with him most places, wearing it on his back so to always have it ready. The oversized boomerang, made of a strange metallic like material was a childhood memento, given to him by his aunt Lasell who would be the only adult figure in Lucius’s young life he held any affection for.
Lucius did not see much of his family as a whole, but it was an especially rare occasion when he was fortune enough to see Lasell. She was a frontiersman for Ramana, whose duty it was to uncover artifacts from old Ramana ruins – relics of a ramana past mostly forgotten about as the current ruling body had been in power for so many thousands of years. Much of Ramana was not inhabited by people, it was as well; seldom explored. The boomerang Lasell brought back for her nephew she had found in the old capital - a booming city thousands of years earlier but now vacated and overgrown with the forestry that had once only surrounded it. Engraved into the metallic face of the boomerang were symbols from an old language understood now only by scholars and nobles, the symbols roughly translated to “happy violence”. A phrase that reminded Lasell of her nephew even at his young age, as the persona he had carried was distinct and developed even at as a child.
Although He had not mastered his abilities to the extent which his teachers believed he was capable – he had learned that through infusing his energy within the boomerang, it become a dangerous and unique weapon. Lucius had gained a reputation for being a particularly strong fighter. And while his studies continued at the monastery, he often volunteered to join the Ramani imperial guard when they were engaged in missions just outside of the city. This kept him entertained enough but constantly yearned for something more exciting.
Opportunity knocked for Lucius when a visiting Milan Voyager arrived – Izach had been awarded allowance to recruit a Ramana engineer to join the OCNCP. However he did not expect to be approached by a noble wanting to join as well. Izach eagerly accepted, having heard of the abilities Romani high nobility possess and teach only to their airs.
Izach had quickly realized however, that although Lucius was not someone you wanted to be in a fight against, he wasn’t the guy you wanted to be watching your back either – as he seemed to value his opponent’s life, only slightly lower than he values his ally’s."
Alright after all that here's the first pass of the composition and pose, let me know what yall think.
