Thanks for dropping by my sketchbook. I agree about the color in the shadows. I will get that changed in the near future. You have some really cool stuff here. What is the story with the dragon. Did you model and paint it?
For Science- Sketchbook!
np : ] and cheers, the dragon is sculpted in zbrush and rendered in vray soon to be animatable
work continues! : D
I feel like i'm making quite bit of progress in my form and anatomy but my rendering ability in paint is lagging because i lack understanding of the way light works.
I think still life and photos studies should help me a lot but if anyone could recommend any tutorials or books on painting light that would be pretty cool.
so far i've been looking at these two sites and they are very good, if you are also looking for painting help i would definitely recommend them.
Ive been working on technical repetitive things the last few days which always ruins any momentum i have with drawing.
one of the reasons i want to get back to being creative! : >
e: i found this today http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-naArgDmRiv...h_schedule.jpg
really interesting time table by one of the crimson daggers, made me realize how little work i actually do and how much self discipline i lack haha
some more generic quadrupeds, i should probably stop drawing these its getting to be a habit
I just had to drop back by here to make sure - yep, you are still a badass. Very nice work going on Wolvar. Very nice indeed. Keep it up! I look forward to seeing where you go with some of this. That dragon is lookin mighty fine.
coming up with some ideas for animation
i'm planning on dropping it in cryengine for this.
and more work on torso fragment M/F
Working on a concept by OvOpack
and some terrain studies
trying to emulate the colour of mr.jack,
i feel like i've improved my color a loaaad just from that.
A character design i'm working on (legs to thin?)
and a shark wyvern i'm thinking about making and animating
oh and may as well post my new showreel here : )
Nice progress so far, I also enjoy how Mr. Jack uses his colors. Keep up the good work
I swear one day I'll be good. I swear one day I will be proud of my work. When that day comes, I'll need to kick my ass and try harder.
His colour is so nice : D i have a theory his colour pops so much because of his shadows which tend to have grey/desaturated feel to them,
compared to his broad strokes which tend to be a purer chroma, creating this really cool contrast
