A week or so ago I posted some environment art I've been doing for this game. Here is what the new castle level looks like when implemented. Though, I made much more elegant looking blocks for the playable surfaces and he didn't use them because they were two-part and too complicated for busting out a quick preview. I tried to make the background pushed back further, and the foreground more prominent, since that was an issue this community spoke about before. Another critique was the character style, which I haven't been able to convince the designer to change.
If anybody is new to gaming and wants some tips, we're also making a bunch of videos showing our whole process making the game. So those might be helpful to people.
