In the Portfolio class, students will be assigned instructors whose experience most closely match the direction of the students work. Students have the option of taking up to six hours of electives and reducing the number of portfolio hours. The final semester of the Illustration track focuses on the development of the exit portfolio based on the student’s individual point of view.
Students are taught to research and identify industries that they wish to direct their work, as well as to generate their own content. Emphasis is placed on student cognitive skill development in establishing personal parameters and work ethic. Outcome: Students upon successful completion of this class will have a firm grasp on identifying the various markets to which their work is applicable. Through the creation of self-generated content they will continually feed their portfolio to remain in step with changing markets.
