I'm back again, my life was in chaos last month so I couldn't be a decent conceptart member, but I'm back and that is what it counts!
It's been a while since the last time I've updated my sketchbook, but hey I have been drawing all the time, ok ok probably a bit less but I have a really good excuse!
I have moved recently to England, and in this last 7 weeks I've been living in a lovely city called Norwich. So I started my life from 0 and as you can imagine this process takes a big part of your time and you don't think about anything else than your current situation. Preparing your travel, dealing with endless bureaucracies, finding an hotel for the first days then renting a room, getting a job, opening a bank account (the most difficult thing here in the UK), trying to get some contacts and etc, it's hard work but it's really worth it!
But with so much things to worry about you kinda start to draw less, not because you don't have time to do it, cause you always can find time to draw, but because you fell bad if you draw cause you could have used that time to make more efforts to find a job or to prepare better your travel.
So when I was drawing during this last months I was filling guilty of "wasting" that time instead of dealing with my new journey full-time.
Yeah so I didn't made a big improvement in my art in this last 4 months but I've managed to make a big change in my life, this experience of moving to a new country all by myself made me a stronger individual, and the reason of moving here was also to be able to improve my art, to be closer to the games industry and find people that also enjoy doing the same stuff that I do, cause in Portugal I was feeling that everything was stuck in time, that there were no opportunities.
And that's the reason of my absence. But know I will be able to start again with even more strength and ambition!

I made several drawings on paper today but sadly the scanner was not scanning properly, so maybe I will upload them another day. But I didn't want to stay without nothing to show so I made this quick studies from the book Figure Drawing by Michael Hampton.
I’m trying to learn how to shade with graphite. I’m used to the speed of the digital, so this is a challenge for me. But I’m enjoying every second of it!
I am trying different light sources with the sculpture of Venus de Milo. And tried for the first time the mid tone paper!
Wow, I thought my sketchbook was offline but it was just the link that changed!
There are so many news!
Went to my first life drawing session. Impressions: It was awesome hope to have more money in the future to go to them.
Tried for 10 days the website drawing-tutorials-online.com, and I learned some pretty cool stuff in there, I'm thinking to buy another month.
I've created a Tumblr, basically it's just like this sketchbook, the only difference is that is more easier to see my works.
This ones are from my 2 hours life drawing session, I have more drawings but these are the better ones.

Nice gestures. Its great to see that have stopped being lazy. Just keep this up
You're improving really quickly, even over just these two pages. Great studies and work ethic.
Keep going, work hard and good luck!
