Money from parents? Scholarships? Part-time or full-time job?
When first applying for college, I intended on pursuing an art major and getting a job in the art-field after graduating. It was my dad who suggested that I get a degree in something else where I can earn money faster (Accounting) and then use the money to fund my art. I ended up going that route, getting an Accounting degree and then a full-time job doing accounting for an art gallery right after graduating. It was definitely a great idea as I've saved up thousands of dollars (living at home) and have money to pursue art on the side, taking art classes and also hiring models to draw. Another upside is that the accounting degree provides something to fall back on, as it seems that art gigs do not always provide consistent work.
