Hi! I'm a 3D animator, with so-so drawing skills that i wish to improve.
One top artist I saw said that if you practice 1 hour a day for a year, you will be up near pro skill, although I realise this is a generalisation and depends on what you draw etc.
I read most of the thread 'how to learn' on the CA education thread, and it mainly covers ways of thinking/looking at things, which I feel I'm pretty confident with.
I have started the '1 hour a day' thing a few times and always fall to the side.
what do i draw?
it seems common sense, start with shapes, then forms, shading, line, perspective, anatomy, etc.
but in practice I find this falls down, and i lose focus.
SO i was wondering if anyone had any knowledge, links, advice on a 'school of arts' type structure, that I could follow in my pursuit of drawing excellence.
A program, as it were. step by step list of things, techniques, methods, that would be best followed to improve my skills.
I googled some curriculums, but didn't find much.
sorry for the long post, hard to explain it in short-hand.
thanks for your time!!
