I found this video recently on a blog. The video is about a street painter who is making a living painting these small landscape paintings in a couple minutes and selling them on the spot.
After watching the video I scrolled down to see the comments. There was a particular one that questioned this guy as a true artist.
It basically said that he wasn't really an artist because the way he painted followed such a simple pattern and everything he created was more or less the same, and he was just mass producing these things. the commenter practically claimed he was not a true artist.
Another comment said something along the lines of "an original idea executed poorly is worth more then a non original idea executed great"
Does anyone agree with these views? I personally can see both sides.
