I will ask this very generally, for I fear that my imagination is taking over me. I was reading through a few art school alumni benefits, and I was surprised to find them all mentioning "health benefits" some including dental plan, discounted health and renter's insurance. I also came upon AHIRC (The Artist's Health Insurance Resource Center) and I was more surprised, in that I might be overlooking an immense advantage from earning an art school degree, thus becoming an alumni.
Now, I always figured about insurance in my life as either trying to get what my parents had or having no benefits for "it costs a lot to have insurance" (I am quoting a voice actor).
My question: Any art school graduates on CA.org recognize some health benefits they have, thanks to them earning a BFA/MFA? Do you have discounts for any health, dental plans or rent?
