Hello! My name is Anna, I'm currently 17 years old and I'm trying to get into a school for game design next year (at the NHTV in Breda, the Netherlands). I've been lurking around on these forums for a while, but I've been struggling with some things lately and I think showcasing my work and receiving feedback, tips and tricks will help me a lot. There's several things I'm struggling with right now- including drawing buildings and landscapes, which is something I should really start practicing more, but one of the main things is realistic portraits. They always end up being just a tad bit off and I really -really- want to fix this, because there will be an intake for said game design school in about two months and I want to improve before I turn in any assignments.
Now, for some work. They're mostly sketches, and please keep in mind that I'm self taught, so there's a lot of errors and room for improvement, but please keep the criticism constructed! Also, I'll try and include it if I used a reference for the picture.
(Reference: http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/ima...en_gillan2.jpg , I did colourpick with this one.)
(reference used for everything but the wings. And the colours, I did those myself too.)
(Photoshop RAM crashed, so I couldn't get rid of the sketchy lines. I still liked the overall feel though, kinda...)
(reference: http://puu.sh/1sIrD , this is what I meant with me not being able to get the realistic part right, I really need some help with this.)
(Reference: http://puu.sh/1sKsJ , my photoshop had a RAM error with this piece, so the lines kind of messed up. I did colourpick with this one.)
Please tell me what you think and, most importantly: Feedback!
