Your painting skills has really skyrocketed since you had that old sketchbook on here. And the sketches has ofc. always been top notch. Keep up the good work, man.

Awesome ... this one is something that could be on top of a "Warhammer"-Box:
crits much appreciated
Sweet, you just need to really push those colours. I'm not a big fan of colour layermode over grayscale, you have to touch so much up afterwards and repaint anyway.
Have you tried image>adjust>gradient map for selected areas? usually a nicer start than straight colours and trying to paint in warms in all the bright areas/cools in the darks/the opposite
I love your pencil work, perhaps even more than your final rendering. Keep it up!

Check out my SKETCHBOOK!
Awesome as always man! I'm loving your designs and pencils!
As tehmeh said though the colours can use some work. Right now there are a lot of grays and not enough colour variation within the areas that do have colour. If you are hesitant to work straight colour then I'd recommend playing a bit around with various modes of layers (color, overlay, soft light etc). I like using soft light personally. You can also use the sponge tool set to either saturate or desaturate things selectively. And then it's usually a good idea to paint straight in colour on top of all those other layers on a normal layer to just fix things that still look a bit off.
