adding some new stuff soon.
Hey. If I were to offer a critique, it would be to go easy on the soft brushes, and to work opaquely, focusing on drawing first and value second. Nail down the structure and form of what you're painting, and work on your values until you can give a convincing illusion of 3-dimensionality.
That last zombie head is decent, but a number of things could improve it. First, get reference for that facial pose; apart from just making that piece more convincing, it will teach you so much about facial structure. Second, organize and control your values; you want 5 to start with, 3 lights, and 2 darks. Work from the middle values outwards, saving bright highlights and dark accents for the latter stages. Third, figure out where your light source is, and stick to it. Use soft-edged form shadows and hard-edged cast shadows that conform to that light source to bring out the 3-dimensionality of your subject.
Keep it up.
lohes- yeah i love the loomis books. i read them all the time in my spare time. my favorite is succesful drawing.
jcpahl- i totally agree with the dark and light theory. but things do change color and with that comes darker and lighter values. per object pick 5 shades or do you mean the whole painting?
adding more stuff soon.like in ten minutes.

zombie geisha! rawr!
Looks like you need to work on your anatomy for a bit. Take that guys suggestion and download those Loomis files. Also, find any books by Bridgeman, they will prove to be useful. Go get those and do some figure drawings. Drawing from life helps too.
this is a wip of a army soldier. please tell me what changes you would make please!
another wip shot-further along
adding new artwork soon
You should do the stuff from the loomis books. Reading is good but you should practice it to help you improve. Also do some studies of the thing you are going to draw before you draw them from imagination. Your drawings for the game remind me of animal crossing =)
this is a little sketch i did.
