Haven't received any comments or anything so if someone could delete this that'd be great
I've always loved the process of speed painting - completion, and I'm a big fan of color, does anyone have any good resources/tutorial(s) on speed painting for me? I've been searching like crazy, but have been finding it difficult to find anything relevant.
As for character concepts, I got a little 10.00 course that I'm in the middle of working on now, but what I'm searching for is a value - color - completion method. When I try this myself, I have a number of issues, and was wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar-and what they did to overcome them.
Values, I'd like to think I'm good with values, but unfortunately when I'm painting purely in grey scale I'm awful at interpreting the value of different hues, IE: I'll shade a shirt that's supposed to be deep red, but when I lay on the color it's bright, flat and saturated. I'm unsure if this is an issue with how I'm overlaying the color (IE incorrect layer mode maybe?) or if I'm using the values in-correctly (it could very well be both)
But either way, a tutorial/process/other resource labeling the steps and whatnot will undoubtedly help me a lot, so thanks for reading and I look forward to seeing what resources the community has lying around!
