Title says all!
For those of you who are tl;dr: Looking for serious art buddy around my level more or less, for basics / fundamentals as well as fun projects, and most of all a fellow student/artist/colleague to share/aid in the journey (and slap each other hard when we slack)
A little about me:
Loc: CA, USA
Check my art blog or CA sketchbook for recent skill level examples
I am looking primarily to improve in fundamentals (anatomy, composition, environments, and accurate rendering of form in various lighting) as this is the most gruelling yet necessary part of art. We can critique and encourage (bash) each other, but most of all just being there stop each other from slacking or wandering off the path.
By no means am I looking for someone who can do completely epic illustrations in a single day! But I'd like someone who is devoted to serious art as a career and is artistically active in some way most of the time whether it be simple doodles, observation, studies, designing characters/worlds in your head while you take out the trash, etc.
We could pick a serious 'topic' of study every few days and work on it that week (values, human foot, etc), posting our progress and giving each other fresh outlooks. I'd also like it if we did a 'fun' project maybe weekly, a break from all these basics to let our imaginations breathe sometimes. It could be themed, or free-reign, but all that can be worked out later ^_^
Hope to hear from someone soon,
