wow thats really lovely
the colors are really greate cant find anything negative
I think your use of colors are really amazing. I think your characters resemble sort of a childlike style mixed with a professional drawing. I think the poses of your characters are verry dynamic and incredibly well drawn. The whole peice shows a lot of movement but also and equal amount of negative space and positive form, which adds to the composition. Superb painting!
leo, that is just awesome..
the colors are really great, yet simple..
Just beautiful, so much to take in...
simply....................no words...fonkiest freshest
I have great faith in fools. My friends call it self confidence.
nice work dude! Nothing more to say...
ps. gonna go to stockholm some day in may, so be ready for that beer I owe you
Thank you all!
Most kind of you. It was alot of fun painting this piece.
About the colors - all I can say is thank you Jason Manley for your color theory session at the Amsterdam workshop. Together with watching Kevin paint and Android's value session I feel my work has taken a new, tighter direction.
Yes, after Amsterdam your art work has accelerated.
Your progress after that workshop is emence!
I really like your rendering.
Keep going, man...
If you can't figure me out, don't blame your self.
and would you know, it fits perfectly as my new wallpaper.

Good eye! That is indeed a real moon inwhich I have pulled alphas for the lights and darks and painted within. So there should be some real craters in there and so on.
Nice, my picture is wallpaper, good on you! I'm flattered :p
Here's a man who understands complimentary colours and aesthetically pleasing spatial relationships.
Oh man, this is just awesome.
The more I look, the more detail I see, like the structure on the leaves in the foreground, and the wings of the girl.
Maybe the stars on the background are a little too much?
There seem to be so many of them, it seems a bit distracting imho.
The storyboards you showed us for this project looked so great.
Very very inspiring.
I hope to make it Prague so I can have another look at your portfolio!
nice painting leopoldo.
i agree about the workshop - my art has improved dramatically just from being around those guys in amsterdam!
I like the colours, composition in your piece. Something about the girls face makes her look aggressive to me? Im not sure if its just my imagination but it would prolly just take one little line or so to fix...
The clouds create a great sense of movement. If i sort of scan my eyes across the piece the foreground element seems to move across the sky which is very nice.
Maybe im retarded O_o?
wow. very very lovely peace. not many paintings pull my strings. this is definitely one of them. i can see story in it and also get a nice cozy visual pleasure. great job
That's really funny!
It's actually a guy in the window and a girl that's climbing, ratting on about love, the guy trying to silence her, not to wake his parents... so yes, he is a little worried about being caught and at the same time he really fancies Zoe the troll lass and wants her to continue her sonet of love.
I guess I have to make that a little clearer, but then again its for a movie so once the voices and acting is in there the character designs can push the tomboy and nancygirl concept further. After all, he is a faerie and these faeries are - well, a bit feminine
Yeah, I was working on the clouds for abit when I relized that the clouds could give height to the picture but also movement. I'm pleased with how that turned out.
Wietse - yeah that IS alot of stars... hmmm. Thx dude I'll test one with a little fewer stars.
Looking at your site, I'd love to see a comic by you in the style of those "Tishnar" storyboards.

Thx coro. yeah, the workshop did wonders for me. I can highly recommend going. Thx for doing it dude!
nBT - I'm glad u like it. It took me 3-4 days. About a day in composition, sketches, thumbnails and ruf line art. Then 1 day in final line art and value studies and then 1-2 days in color treatment, rendering and final details.
Thx for the kind words everybody.
