Paleta linda Chislu
KrispyKream thank you a lot! Yes, kinda hard to keep at memory, specially when you have to finish on another day, it kinda fades from your memory, so now I'm using reference.
Aragah yup yup, by tomorrow or sunday with or new WT.
For now some updates, graphite, oil pastel, conté sketching pencils and Gandalf update.
Holy crap, your paintings are really inspirational, one thing though, I thing you need more of a contrast in gandalf's hair, but that is really good for having no reference.
Aragah yeah I know, soon I'll be attending few human figure classes and some of them with live models to correct those mistakes.
will123will Thank you so much! Even tho I think there's such a long way to go to inspire people :~ About the Gandalf I kinda discarded it, but you're right it does need more contrast.
I'll be uploading more stuff tonight.
Umm, marry me plox! Lol jk... *creepy and I know it*I'm Juliana Chislu, 18 years old and Brazilian. I have always loved games and art
Sorry I had to lolol

Diarum hahaha thank you a lot for the kind compliment and for checking my sketchbook. You reminded me that I have to edit my first page D: I have turned 19 by the end of november.
So, another fast sketch with no reference, I'll be working a lot on this piece, I'm very excited about it
oh you're 19 even better I'm 20 lol
Anyway, the figure looks disconnected from the (his) right leg, it doesn't seem to connect to the pelvis, and the angle at which he would have that leg is wrong. He looks like he is preparing for something to attack him, but his right leg isn't really going along with what the rest of him is doing. I feel like his right leg would be facing the direction he is looking. Idk if it is just me but where the hamstring (idk if you know what that is) connects to the calve is wonky(might be the knee position), I think if you moved the foot into another position it would read better, atm the foot and the leg are reading as two different positions. Not sure if that is the exact problem you will most likely have to play with it or get ref to get it right. Hope that made sense
Idk if you watched 300, but there's a tactic where they defend and prepare to throw the enemies using their own strength as counter-attack, so it isn't just about defense. I'll check it properly as soon as I get home, thanks for the tips
I think the biggest problem is how the feet are positioned, You said
with the foot position you gave him, it would he hard for him to use their own strength as a counter-attack, but I changed it to a more adaptable foot position, so he can chane direction or whatever he does in a split second. (I'm really bad at explaining what I am saying lol...) The front leg might have to be pulled back towards his body. (I didn't show it because I have no idea where it should go) but I did change the foot position of it also, so he has more adaptability, cause I don't know what the move is! Hope this helps.there's a tactic where they defend and prepare to throw the enemies using their own strength as counter-attack
Also the shield is wonky on his arm, here is a painting of how someone holds a shield. Couldn't find an actual picture of someone holding a shield at this angle but it's correct either way
Aragah Thanks a lot
Diarum I owe you a lot, thank you so much for this!
I'll hopefully be able to make the changes and do a major update in it by next weekend.
Well you could post/send picture of yourself, what? I need ref of a cute Brazilian gurl...
Anyway the way you have the hand doesn't work well with what he is trying to do, the hand is griping the spear/pole arm awkwardly, and isn't in the position to be able to attack using the spear. You can use your own hand to see what I mean, try holding a broom and see how well you can attack your mom...lol But yeah, try this:
Should make it look more natural. And you can probably use your own hand for ref.

Ok this is getting a bit too creepy for my own awkward taste.
Onto the 20min random doodle of sunday, I present you my desk:
Hello there, if i were you i would concentrate more on linework, doing definite decisive lines, right now your lines are sketchy so it will make harder for you to see proportions of objects, anyway keep this up it

Diarium thanks gain life savior, I'll be checking the video properly when I'm off work.
Nettle_Mountain Hello! Thanks for dropping by my sketchbook, my lines werent so shitty'about 6 months ago. I barely have time to draw now :/ Thanks again, and I'll be paying more attention and I'll put more effort in it.
A quick something I've started 2 days ago:
Advanced a bit on it, but again, not enough time and ended up in shitty background.
Time to stop doing imaginative stuff for now, my lack of coloring technique is tearing me to pieces.
Click dis This should help you get more realist hair. You seem to be doing hair strand by strand which makes it looks very unrealistic. The link will show you how most people make realist hair.
