do dat pix thing
Your pencil skills and linework has improved over time,
you should be proud of your progress.
On your digital paintings there are a lot of flat planes,
I would suggest that you do greyscale studies, black
and whites to get the hang of values and forms more.
And I wish you a happy new year my friend.
Keep on going strong like you did till now.
Since you are drawing so much heads and faces,
would just drop in these links, maybe you already
seen them, but either way here it goes;
This always helped me with the proportions;
Eyecager shared with me this recently;
This is also very good from Ron Lemen;
Hope they help.
Keep on evolving.
Yes thats a 3d Suz.
After drawing while listening to audio books or music, today I had in mind to try without anything that could get my attention out of drawing and try to focus and think about what I`m doing instead of just drifting with thoughts all over the place, or mindless joy if you will.
And it kinda killed it for me,
I got this monologue; am I doing this right, should I copy 2d shapes or follow anatomy, should I draw fast lines or slow,should I follow some contours or should I mind construction, why cant I even copy, wow this sucks etc,
all that while probably doing nothing of what was I thinking about but rather doing same automatic stuff I did while listening books.
Guess you cannot really focus on drawing because there are so many elements to it but rather on one thing what ever that may be it doesn't matter...
No that`s stupid idea, nwm -.-
And it would be good idea to throw away ballpoint and make a bit more accurate drawings with pencils,
but the way they scratch the paper is making me insane, ballpoint on the other hand glides so nicely.
Anyway sketches all observation, learned nothing.
Wow lots of hard work! Just keep it up and you'l be rocking it soon!
I think that your understanding of structure
and 3D space is improving. You just be patient
and do not rush things.
Do you have some audio book suggestions for me?
