Hey guys, so this thread's for my latest project. It's called the shelter, basically its a fantasy scene in most likely a forest with a few nice mountains and some really epic lighting.
I'll be using Zbrush3.1 3DSMax2011 & Vue9 and a dell latitude e6500 laptop (not a workstation but its damn powerful) to bring this 1 to life, thought I'd test out my new hard/software with a really epic project. This year begins with a serious famine in my house. I imagine my wife screaming what are the children gonna eat!!! right now (Good thing I don't have a wife or kids).
Alright now to the point, I have started with the character but organic modeling isn't really my strong point, in fact this is the first time I've seriously taken on organics, I usually do futuristic city scapes but I just got myself a copy of zbrush and I wanted to see what all the fuss is about. I started working on this about 2 days ago switching between max and zb, my ref is Natalie portman (god knows why), I haven't really gone far in detailing the body or face yet, some things need a lot of attention e.g the nose, eyes, lips, neck, legs (so bad I haven't even shown em), the belly etc... like I said organics aren't my specialty but I really wanna get good at it so any advice comment crits would be really appreciated.
This is gonna be a long 1... again.
