Hi... I have an undergrad degree in fine arts, BFA, from MICA. Now I'm researching about going into industrial design, especially for aerospace or NASA maybe? Anyone here works in the industrial design field would kindly give me some pointers as to where I should research about this more? Maybe books you recommend reading, independent classes you recommend taking, schools/certificate programs you would suggest looking into? The school/programs don't have to be location specific, but I do only speak English well, and some moderate Mandarin, so a great program in, like, Sweden would just be more challenging since I'll need to learn the language first. Right now I'm tossing nets into the wind here, so any small tips would be appreciated, thanks!
Also I know this place is called conceptart.org, but sometimes I feel like industrial design and concept art aren't so far removed from each other. I mean, besides the fleshy creatures and natural terrain, a lot of industrial design goes into the rest of, say, a sci-fi world.
