Gorgeous sketchbook! It's great being able to see how much you've progressed from the first page
Diablo 3 will demotivate you and pull off your erotic energy.
They will feast on your soul, get rich and richer, and you will vein in pain.
War is at hand. As the huge overweighted female painting got better and
better your aura of steadiness got overstretched. You have captured the
moment there, the audience know and can feel the fried potato and the
ketchup in her upper belly. The skinny bloke with the beard is suffering
in the bed, cause of hunger, and flies are eating up his sweaty body.
He is suffering cause the fat lady eat up all around the house, and he
is like in a death camp scenario now. He is sweating and he is suffering,
he will never have sex again in his life, he will never play Nintendo once
again. You have captured the moment very good there also.
And the next stop is the burger shop and the cemetery afterwards.
There is no stopping now, there is a new hope for us,
we will start a fire, burn some diesel and some dinosaur bones.
@Flute: Thank you very much, I'm hoping that I've progressed, but of course I'm not nearly happy yet. I don't think I ever will be.
@LtPlissken: I love your comments, I wish I could frame them. I'm staying over at the skinny man with the beard's house atm and he laughed a lot at your comment, it was much enjoyed.
Anyway, I started a speedpaint and it was meant to be a speedpaint, but I got carried away. I remembered to take shots of the process so far this time. Still not finished. Like everything is.
Godamn, Diablo 3, you eat my days.
I can't write a useful comment now, I like your enviros and figures you drew since last time.
She's a nasty one for sure, watching us from above.
I was thinking a lot about what she is doing, does she
sits on the toilet, or does she trimms her hair
over a mirror. Such a mixed emotions capture in
between her equilibrium. I like when you surprise
us in this kind of fashion. You can easily start
a soft butterfly feeling around our tummies.
So keep things oiled and in a sliding up and down motion.
Wurble scup. I am moving to Sweden in July and that's going to be fun. I hate being too warm, it makes me irritable. Summer moving. Whee. I just don't give a fuck at the moment and unfortunately that's making my art either harried or lazy. So...whatever.
paintings have definitely improved as many have already mentioned. Post #120 is fantastic, everything seems to be coming together for you there. Do you only sketch in digital or do you do things traditionally as well? might be beneficial to try a different medium, even if it is just pencil and paper
@Ghast: I have played with watercolours before and ofc coloured pencils because everyone has at some point. I -think- I have some charcoal kicking about but right now my supplies are being put into storage for the move from Iceland to Sweden in july. (hooray for valid excuses)
Also I would need a scanner, which is why everything at the moment is digital. My line work is horrendous as well which is why I prefer digital. Ahem.
Your last submission of the man on the bed is really great, the folds and details in the hand are just so nice.
Also really good to see you using a perspective grid above.
I would love to see you paint some different things from life, such as something with rust or a metal shine on it, even that juxtaposed against human flesh could look really neat.
keep it up!
wow, the paintings are looking really good, a def improvement over the last page. Edges could probably use some cleaning though.
Plissen's comments are pure gold BTW>
I'll keep an eye around here definitely
Thank you, I am so euphoric about this project,
however, do not expect it to happen too quick,
cause I plan to spend quite some time on it.
Oh, and she will be wearing angel wings, some
weapons in her hands and the legs....
well the legs will be a super surprise.
I like when visions came so easily
and quickly to me. And this is
all thanks to you this time.
What are you doing at this moment my dear?
I am so satisfied with your up-dates,
especially that one with the staircase.
Hope you will invite me to a drink when you move in
to your new house. I am working on the angel and wings,
I have in plan to post it in my sketchbook when it will be finished,
hope you will approve it;
Really nice sketchbook!
The thumbnails with the light breakdown in the last post are very interesting. I've been trying to separate lightsources in that way an combining them to make complex lighting, but it always takes me too much time. Doing it at the thumbnail level seems like a smart choice.
Good luck with the move!
Nice bust, girly!
Seriously, I like the way you worked the progress on that, from basic outlines to shapes and lighting. Good stuff. I also like seeing your thumbnails and will be looking out for updates on some of those.
I'm the same re working on lots of things at once rather than focusing on one project. I get claustrophobic if I don't have at least a couple of other things I can turn to when something isn't going well. I think it's a good way to work, personally.
Interesting approach to digital drawing.
I think thick dark lines tend to flatten and blot out alot of the form and mess with light at an early or layout stage of a painting so I'd be careful with that, though I admit I'm a bit too careful myself and it tends to leave a low contrast look sometimes.
Keep up with the studies, they show much promise and your rendering looks very solid.
Why would anyone not like a naked troll?
I decided to post this little useless comment as I come to your SB and enjoy its variety, I just don't have anything to say.
