Elements from this class are required foundations for all future artwork created by TAD students. Armed with this knowledge, students will be able to identify what is wrong with their own work, and will strengthen their ability to create cohesive and unified images. This essential class cultivates an artist's ability to create work which they would not have otherwise, through instilling a thorough understanding of where commercial illustration and art has come from and where it is going.
About Terry Brown: Terry is the leading expert in Illustration History in the field of education today. Prior to joining TAD, Terry has been a Director at the NY Society of Illustrators and the Norman Rockwell Museum. Mr. Brown holds more illustration images in his database than any other illustration historian. He personally knew many of the greatest illustrators of the past few decades and his knowledge shared is both insightful and impressive. This class will change your art for the better and Mr. Brown delivers grade A material for your education.
All classes are available On Demand hours a day and Live, this means you can attend even if you live in the farthest time zones or have work during the Live class times. On Demand students will have the opportunity to get direct input from their faculty and professional reviewers as if they were right there with you and Live attendees can speak and interact directly with their instructors.
