i really like your inked work thats loose like th man eating with the purple background, it has such great life to it
How can you not get work? sometimes I wonder how things work in this world. So much shit gets produced everyday and its advertised till eternity, still people feign ignorance of true beauty.
Lovely illustrations. i say try going to a few european publishing houses. They are more open to style like yours.
Anyways beautiful illustrations man.
Great looking stuff. Awesome style, especially with the inking. You've also got nice colors.
There are no such things as bad art, just tight deadlines.
Excellent work, looks brilliant. I love the Stephen Fry strip.
bhanu, I don't really know, but I'm pretty close to giving up). I even sank as low as trying facebook game companies, no luck even there. I'll eventually find something in comics, but that's not work. As for Europeans, I have no ideas how to approach them and I don't know French.
I think your dilemma to find work will be a short lived one. Its more of a question about what type of job you want, where you are looking, and expectations you have. Honestly either things happen REALLY fast or really slow, so don't loose faith. Its just when you are just about loose all hope, give up, and stop looking something unexpected will happen.
Other words of advice, this world sometimes needs to see work that applies directly to their product, company, fanchise, etc. At the moment you are showcasing some great work that interests you the most(which is great), but now its a matter of how to get your potential clients to see their work in you. Does that make sense?
I'm not here to kiss your butt, rather than to tell you what I know... your work is rock solid. Send me a private note if you have questions, etc.
Thanks so much, Bomba & bnahu!
It does make sense and that's what has been mostly bothering me: people like my works, especially when it comes to comics, but I can't manage to find anything applicable. I've been mostly trying animation studios and such.
Some more stuff:
Great artwork and ideas, awe inspiring. Wonderful.
I'm a newbie on this site.
But I would say you should take Bomba's advice...good luck.
You will get there.
Killer update, The black and white guys holding a newspaper is really doing it for me.
And btw homie, Its Bhanu not Bnahu .
Go on. Kick some more ass now buddy.
Thanks, one of the concepts for my first pitch (fingerscrossed). Here are some others. And sorry about your name! The n and h look awfully similar in this font!
hey dude/ blue bed. I feel your pain, im moving out to LA in a few weeks to hopefully land a job, while attending CDA. All im gonna say about your work is that it has a striking resemblance to Coraline. thats a compliment sir, that was a fantastic movie/ graphic novel.
go me, and you
I think your style would lend itself really well to editorial illustration work. I don't know if that's something you'd be interested in or have already tried but I could easily imagine your illustrations on the pages of magazines and newspapers.
thescala, Thanks, I actually got Coraline from the library a few days ago. Dave McKean is amazing.
ture, That's my dream job eventually).
Love your style!
I like your work very much.
you finish them by PS or AI ??
Amazing your works. You will get work really easier=) I am completelly sure.
Zhou shijie, Photoshop only. I'm allergic to vectors for the most part.
