Some jewelry I made from super sculpey I like the candy corns the most.. Helps add some color to my blahboring black and white work clothes lol
ooo, I see a lot of improvement from the beginning, especially with your line quality and sense of anatomy cute jewelries too!
the only thing I have to say, mostly about your portraits, is to work on value and making your paintings more tight and solid. for example, I see white spots where darker colors should be. I really like your planes though keep up the good work!
Hey whats up Sonia! good to see you keeping up with the hard work and theres a good progression you have going here. One thing id like to see more of is some still life studies ^^ should try and learn how light works from how artificial light and natural light looks. Also one thing that might help you with your studies is making a color Isolator. Its just a peice of paper painted one side black and the other white with 2 little holes on each side. Then when you look through the holes you can have a better judgment on where your colors are in relation to the 2 extreme values.
hope I could help some
have a good one keep burning those wacom nibs and pencils
till next time

Thank you Jaime and Deo!
I'VE BEEN GONE FOR SO LONG UGH
Real life has been crazy (family issues, working full time, etc.) It's been nuts! I've been getting in as much art as I can though, and holidays have burnt me out so much at work I'm like at that 'I don't give a fuck' point anymore about it, wont let it get to me and want to really focus my passion. So here's some stuff I've done lately -
Most of it is just illustration crap to make me feel better between all the stress.. but now I'm getting back into my studies. Oh and the one with the chick and the gun is a still from Resident Evil, so obviously I don't own it and so on and so on. I tinkered around with it.. was just really a value study
Good luck with the hundred figures. Stuff is intense.
I dunno if you're still/if wondering about this. But on the zombie portrait you mentioned the ear.. Typically, the ear matches up with the bottom of the nose and with the eye.
If you can see what I mean by that here:
Just a quickie done with a group of people, was done in a little less than 2 hours. Topic was aliens with armor with tentacles or long arms or something like that
I don't like it that much.. but it was a fun activity to work on speed. Practice yay
Where are the self-portraits? We miss them
Nice progress Sonia! Keep it up!!
