The ink drawings are good!!
Nice characters ideas also!
Keep it up!
Bros & Dudes- thank you for your support.
I have started to take more notes and write more in my sketchbook, which so far I am enjoying.
rendered this doodle trying to get the form with simple modelling.
a couple of little extra bits, an idea for character to put on a pulp novel cover and a quick sketch of a pith helmet for tf2.
NOTES!!! Ah yes most people i think make their characters or doodles yell at them... well at least i do every nown again.
>>>thank you everyone.
I am at the start of a couple of things, so here are some wips and a couple of sketches.
i'm working on a pulp novel cover, while i develop the main image i'm also painting a simpler image just of the main character.
im working on a tf2 hat, conans leather headband.
and a couple of extra sketches
pulp fiction but with a pig? very nice sir
Hey thank you mate for the tip about the texture, it works great!
Nice update but I think the pig looks like Porco Rosso main character.
Mainly becouse they are both pigs and have similar clothes, I think you'd be fine whit just a minor change.
Anyway I like it
bros & dudes, thank you.
spent most of the week doing things for my parents shop(and reading manga),
so all of the things promised last week remain for next week.
had the time yesterday so i did a robot sketch for fun.
its a squad support robot inspired by jamess tank robot.
Thank you everyone.
To test the ideas about painting I've had peculating for the past 2 and half months, specificity ideas about method.
I have had a lot of trouble in the past with getting from point a to b, working too much on the surface and not building from major to minor.
anyway I decided to do some studies with this in mind.
first two are three to four hours monkey was more like eight.
and also this
well adam. there's definite improvements in those latest digital studies comparing to your first post! that is quite awesome :3 regarding the method of approaching a piece in terms of rendering-- i don't think there's really a 'correct' way but certainly there are general rules... one of the obvious of going 'general to specific' but i think you handled these pieces quite well.
keep exploring different approaches and you'll find one most suitable to your work style. i'm still exploring myself-- heck, the pros are always experimenting too
dude thats some hard core studying! And the Monkey Magic dude came out hot man. Well done. Behold THE FRUIT OF YOUR LABOR! so yeah I can see heaps of development from "a to b". Your picking it up pretty fast my friend. Keep up that hard work its paying off.
thank you everyone for the encouragement.
I finished my foxy squad sheet.
and a few other bits. eyes on the purple one are a mistake, but i merged the layer and couldnt be fussed to repaint it. the eyepatch on snake has a similar origin XD.
these are a couple hours each.
next week more drawing! more painting!
nice work man! thought id stop by and check out what youve been doing youve got a great style and i really like your line quality. for your paintings, youre getting a good sense of the forms but theyre still kinda flat. dont be afraid to push your value range on those. keep at it!
ah nice the FOXY SQUAD is complete. Looks l33t as! well done. Sooo cool, your going to make a fun illustrator one day . And those paints are really good, like the 2 chicks are a bit washed out, but i can see the really well interpreted lighting. nice!
dudes & bros thank you for your wise words and praise.
it has been a ponderous week, so there's not a lot to show.
earlier in the week I changed up the drawing for this to be less flat, and yesterday changed up the rendering style from wishy washy to something more shape orientated.
a couple of weird drawings
I have been thinking about how to give my drawing a kick in the arse.
and have settled on anatomy studies.
top half is bammes studies bottom half is from ref and ideally a third lot from imagination will follow
