Recently I've been developing a skill set that I've realized to be quite a fruitful and enjoyable skill to have: Leather working.
Although I've only been studying it about 6 months, I've taken to it quite naturally and am having a lot of fun doing it, and I've begun to receive commissions for it, which makes me super happy.
In addition to the commissions and overall good experience with the work I've received an offer by and old friend of mine who has taken an interest in my work to front the money for a leather craft business. I've been making various kinds of bag and other holders the most, although now I'm working on a commission for boots and armor pieces that is paying well, and this has prompted me to think about what kind of products to offer services and in which I should study up on.
This poses the question. What leather products interest you all? What leather products would you buy?
Some of my current products are Backpacks and Messenger bags/satchels, computer bags, cigarette cases, and now bracers/vambraces and soon will include boots.
What other things might make good products?
One note is that all of the work is done completely by hand, no machine stitching or anything like that, which a lot of people seem to like a lot.
Hope to hear from you guys and girls with some thoughts and suggestions
