1 hour helmet studies.
and this is about 10 photos put together, still a few things to tweak, proper size is over 280000 wide haha

I think the color scheme on the group portrait works great as it is without a secondary lighting. I think it could use some darker values here and there in cast shadows like under the jaws and neck openings and the hat brim but overall, very pleasing colors!
You seem to be in your own element with the technical stuff, both drawings and models. Good looking robot, the signs are a great idea and add believability. I like the frog perspective views most because on the other ones, I think all the detail on the top steals a bit of attention from the legs which are the best part IMO, they look so functional. Nice cockpit design too! The helmet studies look good but could use a much stronger lighting with more contrast.

Yea i was quite fond of the lighting, il have to finish that piece, other work has got in the way.
Thanks man, yea i quite enjoyed making that mech, unwrapping it not so much haha. Il bear the contrast in mind, iv been told it before so its something i have to work on!

The latest environments have very realistic palettes and I like the brushing on the terrains. I miss more variety for the brushes though, seems like you're just using a big soft and small hard brush. Get a good brush pack like M@'s or Barontieri's brushes, and experiment.
On the matte painting WIP, nice dilapidated feel but the black holes in the building look confusing. They could use some more definition of exposed construction beams and floors and such, as well as highlights on the edges. Good mood and composition though. I'm curious as for how you did it, did you use one or many photos for the photography part?
All in all, really good job with the environments lately, keep them coming!
