Call me Lacy, if you want. I'm so happy to finally be here!
I've actually been drawing since I was very little, but you can't really tell that much. It functioned for so long as a hobby that my improvement was slow. Now, for personal reasons, I want to turn it into a career. However, I don't think I'm at that level yet, so I'm quite eager to learn as much as I can.
The school I'm applying at wants five life drawings by the 29th, and while I've got plenty of life drawing experience, I'm not so great at drawing from the imagination - particularly the human figure. I can't really afford classes, but I do have plenty of anatomy books and art books that inspire me.
It's been a real challenge for me to draw the human figure but I'm finding I really enjoy it! I've been asking everyone to critique my steps and studying the books and all that, and I'm definitely improving.
I'm hoping a place like this will inspire me enough and make me want to work very hard to get where I want to be. I want to work around movies, games, etc. Storyboarding, concept art, etc. and whatnot has fascinated me since I was very little.
Sorry that was so long. I'm so happy to be here though!
