great work here!
art is never finished, only abandoned~Leonardo da Vinci
Love how clean this is. (just borrowing the link another user posted since it's on the same page i'm on) It's so clean and easy to "read" the individual parts; though the feedback you received on it is very helpful too.
Excited to see more.
Alright this guy went through a bit of a process and an extensive change after our first splash screen was painted by myself Jon Neimeister and David Kegg. While figuring out when I can post that original splash up or if I can at all, here is the newer version with Riots in house studio guys paint over. Cheers.
Hope y'all have a good holiday break! I'm hoping to finish some personal work stuff by the end of this little break that i can post up here, and thanks again for all the comments and the crits, especially the crits, helping out tons. Thanks!
Great stuff! ! !
ffffuck man... your portfolio is shaping up nicely! seems like you have no trouble producing these awesome designs. something i'm really struggling with at the moment. i need to delve into my design sense or much rather balance it with the studies. really inspirational stuff alex. btw, are you only doing contract work for Riot? or just decided to submit that illustration (post #1063) for pitch? hehe. sorry i really need to learn the business side of things. anyway, keep kicking ass.
Great stuff! but i think you got some space for shading improvement but keep it up!
visit my Sketchbook!
Just looked through your entire sketchbook! Nothing but awesome fills these pages. Great creativity, also see you like Tyler the Creator. Has to be one of my favorite rapppers put right now. Keep up the work man!
love this piece, and now i will critique it!
1) shouldn't be so shiney as the skin. lightness should direct your eye to the right unless you want them to look at the top shell. you can see some light changes i did.
2) anatomy! fixed anatomy of the deltoid and bicept muscles as well as under them and how they connect. they connect like a hinge.
3) faded the hand a little and made it redder instead of a muddy brown which is poopy. red would be reflected through the hand much better.
tada, like the piece! GOGOGOGO!
You're really working hard, and that's great to see. Your method of using ref then no ref is one that I need to start trying to implement into my studies as well. Keep up the good hard work and maybe put up some more drawings from life as well, though that apple and spoon was looking awesome. Cheers
Black Spot- Why thank you very much!
Esco-Thanks man! I love painting little details like that.
Nickybeats:hehe, you know me.
Iristhevirus: gotta have a bit of fun, thanks!
Jasper:Its a mix of super sculpey base (the pink stuff) and then I use a kneadatite compound known as greenstuff for the skin that goes over the top, it holds detail really well and airdrys to the touch in a 4 or 5 hours. thanks man!

JrMolcack: Pete Konig has the best, most comprehensive sculpting tutorials i've seen on the net, I use an assortment of dental tools and metal spatula. feel free to PM me if you have any further questions.
Ludic: thanks Man!
Mattgamer: haha thanks dude!
Aryeh: If we're anything to go by, you'd probably be wallowing in filth and excrement, trapped in a windowless grey box drawing monsters, forced to make nothing but dick jokes and immature snide remarks. Indentured servitude for hours on end. :-/ its a harsh life, sometimes we drink to deal with our problems. hahaha, no, in all sooth, the possibilities are endless!

PHEW, too many comments, thanks everybody! Another splash screen got released a bit ago, this one was interesting as 6 of our seven team members had a spot in painting on this over the holidays as peoples schedules fluctuated. Was an interesting experience to say the least. The rest of the dudes are WIP character sketches for an IP i've been developing, codenamed for now. BYZANTINE. hopefully its awesome.
Wukong The Jade dragon
BYZANTINE character WIPS, some are farther along than others, I've been playing around with mostly trying to establish a good value pattern and form in the grayscale and popping the material specularity in final polish. gotta figure out why photobucket is darkening the darks. :/

Alright, Sejuani, one of the new League of Legends skins was released today and along with it, two of her new skins that we worked on. These guys were some of my first assignments over at BC, pretty cool to see this stuff in game. I saw Kirsten Zirngibl posted concept work when Viktor Full Machine was released so here goes some of the Sejuani Beast Concept Art. There are some other roughs that may find their way in here in posts to come. Thanks for looking and as always C&C is much appreciated!
