ven-: haha yup. Environment? The only one I remember submitting was the labyrinth a loong time ago and it was pretty shitty. . Thanks for dropping by!
ryan: More composition thumbs coming up! And yeah it's a really bad habit/weakness of mine to not really use reference effectively.
PieMonster: Ahh yes definitely. I was looking at a lot of his stuff when I was doing that piece.
Updating because I need to start studying for psych and updating my sketchbook kind of mentally finishes me from painting for the day. (???)
here's an update on my progress for the bloodsports entry. It's been through probably 15-20 revisions so far and it's now beginning to resemble a power ranger...Hmm.
Here's to another 20 changes!
first oil painting! I'm using a limited palette of indian red, yellow ochre, ivory black, and titanium white. I'm starting with this so that I can hopefully learn mixing better (and because oils are so expensive ): )
Done on gessoed binder cardboard. Like the cardboard you find inside of the covers of three-ring binders.
I'm not sure why the photo ended up so low quality but I'll retake another one with better lighting/camera settings later.
Crits are always welcome!
