12 pages of awesome, so far!
I'm going to place one here I did in August 2009. I simply can't do this on a weekend, so I'm going to try to get to a true November one tomorrow.
Pencils with PS for highlights.
This sucker took me about 2 hours, had a mirror, and lighting that worked for once!
My room is probably the worst studio environment when it comes to lighting! My lamp is mostly blocked by a big old TV from the 60s or something, so I rely on awkward overhead light!
And I recorded ALL of this on Camtasia, thank the Internet for 30 day trial demos, I am SO buying the full thing when I am able to!
So you'll probably see this thing on YouTube tomorrow!
I have improved gloriously in a year!
awesome job everyone, this is my first year at this,
I wish i had more prominent features
"Astronomy offers an aesthetic indulgence not duplicated in any other field. This is not an academic or hypothetical attraction and should require no apologies, for the beauty to be found in the skies has been universally appreciated for unrecorded centuries."
happy portrait day all
sketchbook updated October 6th
Started this morning and I'm still not happy with it -- I kinda messed up on the nose in the shadow. Anyway -- pencil study, scanned in and colorized in Photoshop then ported back and forth between Painter and Photoshop until I realised I've been sitting at my computer for over 9 hours now. . . .
Tried a few different backgrounds and decided to scrap 'em. Been looking at it too long and I can't see it right anymore, if ya get me.
Decided to stop before it stopped being fun.
Acrylic from mirror.
I'm on DevArt too
Nice stuff everyone!
Here's my first time participating. SO FUN! : D Took 2 hours.

This is my favorite holiday of the year.
So much good shit here. Not feeling good about mine anymore, but here it is anyway.
Woo, I haven't done one of these in a long time. This one took 2 hours. I recorded my process, so hopefully I will have the video finished soon.

To see the world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wildflower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour.
Hey there. My friend told me to participate in this with him. So here's my entry.
Alright, see you guys around!
Awesome work everyone! Very inspiring portraits.
This is my second ever self portrait & I had a lot of fun doing it. About 3 hours in Photoshop using digital photo reference.
I didn't want to paint my head. So, no portrait classic style like you guys so nicely did, but it is a cartoony version of me. Also, it rained yesterday.
God, I'm so freakin' tired, it's 5:41 am over here.
Not too happy with it, was a rush job, but I wanted to join in this year.
"Work for your self first. You can paint best the things you like or the things you hate. You cannot paint well when indifferent.
Express a mental opinion about something you are sensitive to in life around you. There is a profound difference between sensitivity and sentimentality."

Finished Just under the wire. Loads of fun though!
Thanks for looking.
