I hope I won't be reprimanded for cross-posting, I did not know there was a whole separate sculpture forum.
We are running a five day intensive Portrait Sculpture Workshop at the Bridgeview School of Fine Arts in New York City.
October 19 - 23. $475 includes model fee.
Working in oil-based clay students will sculpt a portrait from a live model. They will also draw a portrait from the same model. This is a very effective way of learning the human form and anatomy by analyzing it in both two-dimensions and 3D. I've done it myself years ago, and it helped me a lot.
It is taught by Tatyana Zhurkov, academically-trained Russian artist whose work is in major museums including the Smithsonian and the Hermitage.
We are in Long Island City, Queens, which is one subway stop from Manhattan. Here is a link to the actual workshop description http://www.academicart.com/bridgevie...rt-schools.htm
