In the 1st sketch the head is in weird perspective,
great photostudies as usual
[ste] - Thanks! I will!
DK_sketch - THanks bro, real glad you like it.
Well, tiny update to show I didn't die or anything. Working on my conan pic. Any feedback is appreciated.
did a skintone study to see what's what.
this is a wip so its quite dull looking atm. I like to add the lightest lights towards the end to make it pop.
Justyna - Thanks alot!
Lilnebo - Thanks I'm glad you liked it!
I've had some problems with my eyesight lately. I couldn't work at my computer very long before headaches came. I've gotten glasses, calibrated my monitor and got a lamp that I have behind my screens when it's dark to make it more comfortable and I think it's working.
To get the conan shit done in time I had to remove the half naked chick and the background is plain shit. Anyway..
Also did some sketching today to get back into the groove. Dirty sunday stuff:
relax with the muscles on the warrior guy with the blue background besides his man boobs his bicep muscles arent properly place next to his forearm, there seems to be no room for tendons, bones, or really anything in his midarm area, it would be possible for him to bend his arm any further in where it is now because of his swollen biceps.
cgaddict - Thanks!
DK_sketch - Thanks! It feels like my brain farts out all the information when I am working on my personal stuff tough
Krato Thanks man, I really appreciate the tip.
lilnebo - Thanks! My fragile ego feeds on your kind words!
Perspective is so hard.
I should've erased that retard head on top left.
Hey man, thanks for replying in my sketchbook. You got some great work in here. Lovely lines. Last few girl heads look great. Besides that the shadows got some inconsistencies which makes them look less crisp than what they could be. Well placed though.
As for the perspective girl. Proportions are all cool and such but you should remember to use your lines in a way that they overlapp the underlying form. A bit hard to explain with words Just mean really emphasizing the ruondness of the knee for example. They look flat cause you have your lines overlapping in the worng way . You're drawing as if seen up front. Linewise that is.
Anyways I absolutely love your paintings. Gorgeous stuff. Great colours and clean rendering. Only thing you could work is cast shadows. That the conan dude. There'd be some more shadow casting onto his eye and some shadows on his hand casted by the blade etc. That should bring it to the next level but yea overall amazing stuff.
great stuf Love your digital stuf, Conan looks awesome. Solid clean studies too. Keep it up!
Cheers/ your friend PMB
"Painting my brain with memories of the future"
Pencil and brush is my choice of weapons!
Jordyskateboardy - Thanks a bunch man, I def. understand what you mean. I try to look out for stuff like that when I do sketches, I learned it from Glenn Vilppus videos on figure drawing. Thanks!
PaintMyBrain - Thanks mate!
Here some stuff from lately. Did some heads from memory, I don't really like how my heads comes out, too roundish etc. I think.
I just started this master study of one of Ilya Repin's masterpieces.
What really inspires me is your ability to draw such a clear line. Fantastic! Need to work much more to reach your line level
Ivan_Turcin - Thanks man, tough my lines have zero weight to them, I need to practice that.
I did a somewhat serious thing on paper today, first one I've ever done I think. My shading sucks. Study of a statue some awesome guy on deviant art had, forgot his name.
My Hit-Girl wip. Working on it every now and again when I have time. I always worry that I over use rim lighting and stuff like that.
your master copies is really nice maybe i just have a more practice or something (?!)
zoom imiage and fin little detail like blue on hair and beard and magenta on eyes socket
cheers and keep it up Dagger
Sweet studies bud! keep doing them their paying off, try softening up your brush strokes and blending a bit more in areas, at the moment they're looking a bit hard edged and jagged. I used to have this same problem, what helps me is to use a nice big hard round to begin with, just blocking in all the right colours. After that getting in there with the soft brush and rendering things out, working on edges and what not. Finally adding some texture to the skin and other little details and noodles.
Hope that helps man, keep it up!
heyy alexxson cool sketch book u have =I see u r improvin fast dude , and studyinbg a lot. I like it!

hey Alexson, thanks for dropping by my sketchbook man! i remember seeing your stuff somewhere before, it may have been here or on IFX or something, but man! you have seriously improved big time! especially in your rendering, its looking very clean! keep up the great work man!
kojot - Thanks! I try to save the smaller details for last!
Benjie - Thanks for the tip! I need to get better at adding textures and stuff, otherwise it looks so dull.
eidenet - Thanks bro! I'll keep and eye on your sb to make sure you don't slack off, which would be pretty easy to do when you are as intense as you!
NickyBeats - Thank you so much! Means alot to me when other people think you are progressing!
Here's some stuff from this morning. Some arms, mixed from Zach's (collywobbles) sketchbook, mma photos and my memory.
And photo studies.
Hey. Great updates. Very inspiring to follow your progress! I envy your devotion
