hehe, 60 hours would be great indeed!
Here is some new image for eow186, spent not much time on it again
April 26th, 2012, 09:34 AM
here´s my entry for eow187 called "underwater research facility" . I´m not sure if this is too dark as I work on different screens, have to check this
April 26th, 2012, 09:39 AM
i like it, though i have one crit: i think its too much of the same saturated blue around the whole image, myabe you could get a better composition by desaturating the border or not-so-important parts a bit.
anyway just a thought.. keep it up mate!
April 26th, 2012, 09:55 AM
thanks daflom, you´re right with the blue hue, I have not much color variation in it, I will try out your tip the desaturation, could save me some time
May 5th, 2012, 02:01 PM
this is my wip for eow188 called "celestial titty bar", hope you like it
May 7th, 2012, 02:19 PM

May 8th, 2012, 08:09 AM
and another one, just for practise
May 9th, 2012, 09:46 AM
I tried a new one for this weeks eow, will have to think about how to design it though
July 23rd, 2012, 07:15 AM
here are some more studies, the first one was a tut by fzd where I tried to paint as many details as possible without using textures, the second one I tried to practise what I had learned with a own image, all images took about 3 hrs
August 1st, 2012, 01:03 PM
I just started with some horse studies and hopefully will continue with it, as I have not much clue about that... but it´s fun anyways, these are all done digitally

You've some really great landscape here my friend!
your understanding of light is darn great! Try to change the viewer's place sometimes, i'd love to see some diving views or something alike Also, you've got some nice color that set a good mood in your pieces, keep up!

here are some mecha studies
August 10th, 2012, 09:42 AM
Digging the feng zhu like enviroments as for the E.O.W goes I like the first concept you had but I guess that me but I wish you luck
August 10th, 2012, 09:47 AM
thanks udonhead, maybe I will go for the first one, the other eow enviros are a bit out of my comfort zone, but I need to learn it
here´s another feng zhu insprired enviro
August 10th, 2012, 03:52 PM
and as for your feng zhu enviros my brush control is not that good its look awful in my skecthbook lol maybe I rely too much on opacity and like feng zhu said try to get out of your comfort zone and try something new
August 10th, 2012, 04:20 PM
@udonhead - I took a look at your sb and don´t think your brush control is bad at all, the trick really lies in a very large canvas, he uses from 6000 pixels wide to 12000, 6000 is not big at all, at least it depends on the machine you have , but another "trick" of feng zhu is his brush, he uses a standard chalk which can do very thin lines to very thick, depending on pressure you can see it when you watch very carefully at his youtube tutorials, other artist mainly sketch with the pencil and pen, but when it comes to sketching on the computer, fengs method is really straightforward
regarding opacity he uses just the opacity slider and set to pen pressure because it doesn´t feel like a traditional brush he says, so maybe try it out with the canvas and the brush if you like

Excellent work !
I love your vehicles concept
I want see more
August 13th, 2012, 02:06 AM
@tef - thanks, I´m glad you like it, so here it goes, some new studies
August 13th, 2012, 03:13 AM
I love this last post ! there are beautiful details. Bravo !
August 13th, 2012, 03:21 AM
Great job on those enviro's, you're very good a setting a mood with the lighting.
One thing I'd suggest is adding flying creatures to a few of these(obviously not ones like the concert venue). The more "inhabited" you can make these feel, the better I think.

Very nice sb, especially the environment sketches!
